Large utility companies are inherently monopolistic. That said, for an extensive period of time, government regulators effectively held them in check, and controlled prices at levels where society could prosper and the utility make a return that ensured stability. The calls to expand those markets with more providers under the guise of a freer market is a ruse IMO. That market cannot be effectively be regulated.

We must look askance at these false messaging tactics that offer great sounding results like freer markets or greater security. The results show the opposite occurs. Unregulated capitalism is as much a weapon against society as fascism or communism.

Very thought provoking Substack. Thank you.

Great Substack. Over the last 3 to 4 years we’ve been on a bull-riding contest where the unbelievable becomes believable. With each ride on the bull, we ride longer and smarter. While I still prefer RFK to the befuddled Biden, it’s important to use our own filter system to vet the best candidate. My opinion? None will be our savior, as that is entirely in the hands of the still slumbering American populace. We are being roused by the Biden foreign policy madness and it’s financial and human costs.

Vetting candidates is a great wake-up call. Thanks!
